2G_PROVEIL is an European Union-funded innovation project developing next-generation reusable face masks for superior respiratory protection. Our smart respirator masks with filters combine advanced nanofiber-based filtration, intelligent fit-detection sensors.
Antimicrobial nanofiber filters with high breathability and protection
Integrated smart sensors for optimal face fit
Reusable FFP2 and FFP3 masks – easy to disinfect
Made in Europe, electret-free
Our mission is to protect public health with innovative, high-performance PPE masks that combine science, safety, and sustainability. Whether for everyday use or frontline medical settings, 2G_PROVEIL brings advanced filtering technology to everyone.
Protecting lives, and empowering healthcare through innovation.
The 2G_PROVEIL project is developing a new generation of smart reusable masks, based on electret-free nanofibers and ergonomic design. Our goal is to create reusable FFP2 and FFP3 masks that are not only safer and more comfortable, but also smarter and more sustainable than traditional masks.
We address urgent public health needs by providing:
These advanced filtering half masks will support improved pandemic preparedness and offer a high-quality alternative to traditional disposable face masks with filters that generate environmental waste. Our reusable FFP2 masks and FFP3 reusable masks are designed to compete with premium solutions like while offering superior smart technology.
Funded by the European Union under the EU4Health Programme (EU4H), 2G_PROVEIL involves top Spanish institutions in biomedical research, technology development, and healthcare validation. Expected project completion: 2029.
The new masks will incorporate electret-free nanofiber filters with broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties (virucidal, bactericidal, and fungicidal) and mechanical filtration performance capable of reaching FFP3 standards. This design mitigates the degradation of filtration performance caused by humidity and enables repeated disinfection using alcohol–water sprays, significantly extending shelf-life and reusability.
